Our port data, in the AI you already use

The Argonautics MCP connector lets your AI assistant answer questions about ports, open tonnage and vessels from our figures. Ask Claude or ChatGPT how Antwerp is doing this week and get the number back, with when it was taken.

What a question looks like
Made-up figures
The assistant picks the tools, we supply the figures, and the assistant writes the answer.
How congested is Rotterdam this week, and which tankers are open nearby?
port_snapshot · Rotterdamopen_tonnage · Rotterdam · tanker

Rotterdam has 19 ships at anchor now, a little above its average for the period. The median anchor wait is 1.4 hours and the median port stay 25 hours.

Five tankers near Rotterdam are waiting for orders and not laden. The largest is a 157,000 dwt crude tanker off Dover, heard 10 minutes ago.

Figures from the hourly snapshot taken at 18:00 UTC. Deadweights are estimates.

How it fits

One source of figures, every tool downstream

We do the hard part, turning raw ship positions into figures you can trust. The connector hands them to whatever you work in.

Argonautics
Ship positions processed into port calls, anchor waits, laden state, arrivals and open tonnage, kept as a growing history.
MCP connector
One address your assistant connects to. Read-only, signed in as you, limited to your plan.
AI assistantsClaude, ChatGPT and other assistants that support MCP: ask in plain language, get our figures back.
Briefs, emails and sheetsThe assistant writes the Monday port brief, the reply to a charterer or the comparison table, from figures we supply.
Your own agents and workflowsInternal copilots and automations that check a port or a ship as one step of a larger job.
Tools you buildCoding agents such as Claude Code and Codex can read the data while they build your own screens and models.

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard AI assistants use to reach outside data. Because it is a standard, one connector serves every assistant that supports it, including ones that do not exist yet.

What it can answer

The questions behind every port

The same figures as the dashboard, asked in your own words.

Port snapshot
Ships in port and at anchor, anchor waits and port stays, cargo loaded and discharged, laden share and the fleet mix.
Trends
Ships at anchor or alongside over your plan's history, with today's figure against the average.
Open tonnage
Ships waiting for orders near a port and ships that just discharged, filtered by class and size.
Arrivals
Ships heading for a port by ETA, with their combined deadweight.
Vessel search and records
Find a ship by name, IMO or MMSI: its particulars, managing company, where it was last heard and where it is bound.
Ports and your plan
Which ports we cover and which your plan includes, so the assistant knows what it can answer.
Safeguards

Built for figures you act on

An assistant is only as good as what it is given. These rules hold for every answer.

Read-only
The connector can look figures up. It cannot change your account, your watchlist or anything else.
Your plan, nothing more
The assistant sees the ports, refresh rate and history your plan includes, exactly as the dashboard shows them.
Figures with their time stamp
Every answer carries when the figures were taken and the period they cover, and marks estimates as estimates.
Ship text kept as data
Names and destinations are typed by crews. We pass them to the assistant as data fields, never as instructions.
